Qualified architects wishing to be registered to practice in Belize must be members of APAB. A completed application form should be sent to The President of APAB with all supporting documents as follows:
1.) Completed application form (available from APAB) with certified copies of qualifications (degrees, diplomas, titles, recommendations, etc.) which should include contact numbers from the alma mater or institution where the professional degree was obtained. APAB will communicate with the issuing institution to verify all professional documents presented. Copies of documents presented must be authenticated by recognized authorities such as the issuing institution, an Embassy or a Foreign Affairs office.
2.) A resume including verifiable professional experience, recommendations and a list of projects completed .
3.) Non-Belizean applicants must present one of the following original documents to prove their legal right to work in Belize:
1. work permit
2. residence document
3. nationality document
4.) Application form must be accompanied by a non-refundable processing fee of: BZ$200.00.

Once the application is approved, the new member must pay an annual registration fee of BZ$350.00 which is due on the 1st. January of every year.
